Interpretation Request: (Defect Report)
-----------------------

(June 29, 1994)

Subject: Command Description for ex

I would like an interpretation of the Command Description for ex
outlined in IEEE Std 1003.2-1992 section 5.10.7.2, p. 523, Line 1311.

The current standard incorrectly documents which address is used for the
starting line, when both a line range and count are specified.
Historical practice has it as the last address in a range specification,
not the first.

To remedy this problem, could the word "first" on line 1311 be replaced
with "last"?

If you require clarification of this request, or more information,
please do not hesitate to contact me at (519) 884-2251. If you

"ex.6107" in your message.
